that explains the role and purpose of logistics within a typical organization.
Prepare a 1,050 to 1,400 word business report that examines the relationships between logistics and other business functions that are both internal and external to the organization.
Include an explanation of the implications of geographical location and channel strategy. Recognize that these implications will develop the foundation for how your department will structure an overall logistics program.
Include a flow chart or similar diagram (as an appendix) to depict these relationships. Recognize that the operations director will use your documents to justify the new logistics department to the company president.
